Visit Us At News & Events New Trail Running group meeting at The Sole Source!! The Sole Source sponsored runners David and Mike Frazier have started an informal group of trail runners called "The Rocktown Ridge Runners!" They meet in front of the store and car pool to different destinations. Keep an eye on our website for information on runs or contact us to be added to their e-mail list for run notifications. It is a fun group of people - come and join them!! The latest (1/28/12): Tomorrow we will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the Sole Source to carpool out to Massanutten's Western Slope. The distance is up for debate,but it will be less than 9 miles. Options are ENDLESS! If anyone is interested in doing more mileage earlier in the day, Vince Bowman and Jack Broaddus are leading a run a little further north on along northern Massanutten starting at Camp Roosevelt (about 25 minutes north of Harrisonburg). This run is an out and back which includes trail and road. All together is about 19 miles. They will start at Camp Roosevelt and run to Habron Gap and back. Get a hold of Vince- vinbow1@gmail.com if you are interested. They will carpool from Harrisonburg leaving at 7:00 a.m. for departure location send Vince and email-he won't bite. Last week Ryan, a fellow RidgeRunner, mentioned we are doing too much running and not enough eating. He's right. Since the dark season, we no longer run Wednesdays and no longer dine at Arepas Las Chamas. One idea is to have an informal Post-Run Pot Luck. each time runners would bring a soup or simple dish to share. I thought it was a cool idea-email me back to let me know what you think!
